Crack Burgers with Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham

 

Crack Burgers

Crack Burgers made on a griddle are one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever tasted. My friend Jarrett Stidham, NFL QB, said they belong on the Mount Rushmore of burgers.

Full disclosure, I had never had one until Jarrett and I made them together for this video. I had seen the recipe on Facebook, but at the time of making these, I never knew anyhone that had made them personally. I figured, how can a burger with Ranch, sour cream and cheddar cheese in it be bad? Bonus, we seasoned these with my favorite burger seasoning – BLANCO!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb 80\20 ground chuck
  • 1 C shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 T sour cream
  • 2 T Ranch dressing mix
  • 1 T Meat Church BLANCO seasoning 
  • 1/4 C cooked & crumbled bacon
  • 4 toasted buns or 2 if you want to make doubles

    Prepare your griddle
    Set the griddle to 350 or medium heat. In this video I used a Traeger Flatrock. You can also use a heavy cast iron skillet.

    Prepare the burgers
    Mix the ground meat, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, cheddar cheese, bacon and BLANCO thoroughly by hand in a medium bowl.

    Divide into 4 equal parts and create 4 patties.

    Lightly season with more BLANCO.

    Crack Burgers

    Griddle the burgers
    Lightly oil or spray the cooking surface. Place the patties on the griddle. Cook until the edges begin to brown which wil take 3-4 minutes.

    Flip the burger with a spatula and continue to cook until your desired doneness. I like medium rare which is 130 -135 internal temperature.

    Top with more cheese if desired for the last 1-2 minutes of the cook.

    Build your burgers
    Place the patties on toasted buns and top with your favorite condiments.
