A Gold Rush is a delicious and refreshing bourbon cocktail. It was first created at famed New York City bar Milk & Honey in the early 2000s. It is essentially a Whiskey Sour with honey in place of sugar. For me, it is diverse enough to be great great cold winter months as a holiday cocktail, but I also feel it i refreshing in the summer.
Honey syrup is made by mixing 1:1 honey and water and heating it up in a pot and stirring until the color becomes one.
