Pecan Old Fashioned

Pecan Old Fashioned with Sazerac Rye

The old fashioned is a classic cocktail that was invented in Louisville, KY. You can make it with rye or bourbon. I prefer rye so that the cocktail is not too sweet, but that is your preference. We use Sazerac Rye in this recipe and it is easy to find and delicious.

In this recipe we make a homemade pecan simple syrup. You can sub any simple syrup you like or you can also muddle a sugar cube instead.
