Butter Burgers will be the juiciest cheeseburger you have ever eaten in your life. These cheeseburgers start with 80/20 ground meat and then we add butter for extra moisture and richness. In this video and recipe we griddle the burgers but you can cook them however you like.
Meat Church How To YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/rK4LcT-2kgw
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 lb 80\20 ground chuck
- 5 T butter, frozen and grated
- Meat Church Holy Cow
- 4 slices of your favorite cheese
- 4 buttered and toasted buns
Prepare the griddle
Prepare your griddle at medium heat. Alternatively you can smoke or grill these burgers I find that the griddle or pellet grill works best with these burgers given all the butter on board to prevent flare ups.
Prepare the burgers
Mix the ground chuck, butter and 1 T of Holy Cow throughly by hand.
Form four 1/3 lb patties.
Season those patties with more Meat Church Holy Cow to your liking.
Cook the burgers
Lightly butter your cooking surface. Place the patties on the griddle. Cook for 3 minutes, flip and cooking to your desired internal temperature.
Add cheese for the last minute or two of the cook so it melts. In this video we were aiming for medium rare so we added cheese at an internal temperature of 130.
Remove the patties from the griddle.
Build the burgers
Place the patties on the buns. Top with your favorite toppings. In this video we went with the "Whataburger" classic of mustard and pickles only.
Enjoy!
